Spring is for new beginnings, and the perfect time to hit the refresh button in our lives and wardrobes. This season I have partnered with Lauren Ralph Lauren to show you three ways to wear white jeans, and how to look effortless doing it.
Regardless of what's currently trending, I always come back to everyday chic pieces because they never go out of style. As one of Ralph Lauren's brands, Lauren Ralph Lauren embodies the classic all-American style of the house of Lauren for today’s working woman. Growing up it was a brand that the stylish women in my life wore, and one that I will always connect with timeless elegance.
On Saturday, April 8th I'm excited to be partnering with Lauren Ralph Lauren at Macy’s Dadeland Mall for their spring collection event. Join me from 2 – 4 PM for shopping, light bites, music, and a chance to win a Lauren Ralph Lauren gift card! I’ll also be taking styling appointments to help you shop for the season. Spaces are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
I’m embracing spring with the new Lauren Ralph Lauren cropped skinny jeans, and loved styling them with three of my favorite pieces from the brand. Which look is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below.
The Classic Button Down
There’s nothing more refreshing than a classic button down and crisp white jeans. No matter how many trendy blue and white striped tops I buy this season, a timeless LRL pinstripe blouse will be the one that makes the cut season after season. (The fact that it’s non-iron is a major plus.) Roll up the sleeves, tie the front in a knot, pop the collar... make it yours.
Off-the-Shoulder Cotton Top
White on white is tricky to pull off, but can be incredibly chic if done properly. Do make sure your whites are well tailored for your body. Don’t wear anything too tight, or conversely too big, it will make you look heavier. (White is not forgiving.) With a relaxed fit, the LRL off-the-shoulder cotton top is the perfect match for white skinnies when worn with a brown leather belt. The slight volume in the top offsets the slim jeans, and the belt breaks up the white to add a stylish detail.
The Shirtdress
One trend we’ve been seeing a lot of both on and off the runway is dresses worn over jeans. I love the idea of styling the classic LRL khaki shirtdress as a modified tunic over white jeans for a cool layered look. Swap the fabric belt for a leather belt for a more elevated look. *Stylist tip: If you’re pear shaped or bottom-heavy, this is a great trick to draw attention to your waist and away from your hips.
