With the holiday season in full swing I know I'm not the only one scoping out party attire for the endless festivities headed our way. Thanksgiving is only 2 days away, peeps. T-W-O! Quite possibly the tastiest of all holidays, turkey day is also the trickiest to dress for because my outfit has to satisfy my rule of 2 C's, Classy & Comfortable. This year, I'm all about this preppy look from Abercrombie, and I know the parentals would approve, too. I mean, who can resist a cute animal sweater? I love each of these pieces because they work together in this casual chic ensemble, but they're also great basics you can mix with the rest of your wardrobe. If you don't already own a chambray shirt, or three, make sure to add it to your Black Friday shopping list. Think of it as the shirt that keeps on giving, because it goes with virtually anything you can think of.

Pencil Skirts for Petites featuring Express

Being petite doesn't have to be a fashion obstacle if you know the tricks to maximizing your size. Despierta America asked me to share my suggestions for rocking a pencil skirt, so I styled three different looks from Express to prove it can be done without overwhelming a shorter figure. Petite Style 101: How to Wear a Pencil Skirt

1. Draw the eye up by pairing a bright or patterned blouse with a solid color skirt.
2. Skirt length should be no longer than just below the knee to maximize height.
3. Go monochromatic. Wearing one color from head-to-toe offers an illusion of length. This high-waisted pencil skirt by Express nips the waist in at just the right place creating a super-flattering hourglass figure.
4. The higher the heel... A classic nude or black pump are the best way to continue the clean line of a pencil skirt. Added bonus? The right nude heel will make your legs look a mile long. Avoid shoes with straps and anything flat or chunky that will "cut" you off at the ankle.
5. Consider proportions. Feeling adventurous? Rock a patterned skirt, but remember that small patterns (like lace) are best. Designs that are too big or busy will overwhelm a petite figure.

Fall Forward with Clark's

Let's talk Fall fashion. Too soon, you say? Miami may be seasonless, but between back-to-school shopping and mega September issues, I get as excited for a new pair of boots and a great jacket as any northern girl. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim has arrived! These shots are a peek at the first-ever Swim Week street style photo installation debuting this Saturday at the Sagamore Hotel. The series entitled "Summer Crush" features thirty of Miami's hottest fashion bloggers as captured by Mayleen Gonzalez of Photo Boutique. Miami is synonymous with itty bitty bikinis, so a swimsuit was the only thing that came to mind when I was styling my favorite summer look for the shoot. I was so excited to finally get in front of Mayleen's lens - the self proclaimed photog ninja got these amazing shots in about 10 minutes. No joke! The fastest photo shoot of my life! Needless to say, I'm in love with the final product; I always wanted to be a pin-up girl!

Sometimes you just have to follow your passion in life, so I was reminded after having lunch with designer Alessia Solari a few weeks ago. Solari, an FSU grad who studied environmental science, was working for the World Meteorological Organization (an agency of the United Nations) when she found herself unhappy, telling her boyfriend that she wanted to design shoes. So she did! She left her job at the UN and returned home to Miami to launch her eponymous sandal collection.

With a Swiss mother and Peruvian father, Alessia is as striking as she is intelligent. Many would describe her as a free spirit, but I say she's a woman that knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to risk it all.



1. Describe your style: I love mixing classic elegance with a hint of gypsy chic. My style is very influenced by my travels abroad. I’m not a fan of all one thing.

2. Your go-to outfit: Currently I've been wearing a lot of long maxi dresses and my sandals. I have them in all different colors since I do all my own product testing!

3. Can't-live-without-it accessory: Statement necklaces

4. Favorite place to shop in Miami: Armoire Chi Chi, it’s a small vintage boutique full of great finds!

6. Most memorable fashion faux-pas? During my first trip to Chile my boyfriend invited me to a party to meet all his friends from back home. I wore a fitted dress with a full skirt and my louboutin espadrilles. It was a summer bbq so I thought I looked perfect! His sister took one look at me and laughed, she told me to wear jeans, sneakers and a hoodie. She saved me because I would have looked completely ridiculous! You can never trust men when it comes to how to dress, always ask a girlfriend!

7. Who is your style icon? Audrey Hepburn, Olivia Palermo, Victoria Bekham

8. Biggest splurge? A gorgeous Cavalli dress! I had to work all summer to pay my mom back :) It was so worth it!

9. Favorite designer? Emilio Pucci, there is something magical about his colors and prints. They truly express happiness!

When jewelry designer Tiffany Ortiz asked if I would model for her new jewelry campaign I was totally flattered, and of course said yes! Besides being transformed into one of her glamorous TAudrey girls, I loved getting to work alongside fellow blogger The Fashion Poet, and college friend (and former beauty queen!) San Francisco Treat

Tribal and Tropical at #4SeasonsOfStyle

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hosting the Style Sessions: No Sweat Summer Style event at the Four Seasons Miami, so here I am finally sharing the photos with you! The stylish Sunday brunch/shopping extravaganza brought out a great group of ladies eager to learn what's hot haute for summer from our panel of experts, including Beauty for Real Founder Leslie Munsell, The Snob Magazine Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Gomez, and Dress for Success Miami Executive Director Sonia Jacobson. Best take away from our chat? Never ever ever everrrr wear flip flops to work. Ever. (Get it?)  A few cocktails, shopping, and too many (delectable) calories later we shopped some more and were treated to braids from the pink ladies of Blo Midtown. Fabulosity aside, the afternoon was extra sweet because we raised funds for a cause close to my heart, Dress for Success Miami.
