Joe Jonas Parties with PINK Ladies on Spring Break

Joe Jonas, Chanel Iman, and Elsa Hosk heated up Miami Beach yesterday as hosts of the Victoria's Secret PINK Nation Spring Break Pool Party. 

The annual bikini 'fete was held at the newly revamped Shelborne South Beach pool where throngs of fan girls (and guys!) lined up to get their party on with the JoBro and gorgeous VS PINK models. I have great memories from the PINK spring break parties when I was in college and yesterday made me feel like I was back there again- sans the bikini.

Thanks to the cool people at VS I got to check out the pool and meet Joe, Chanel, and Elsa before the party got started. The girls were decked out in fun outfits from PINK, including these neon shorts ($44) that I can't wait to get. Doll-faced Elsa was also rocking the seriously stylish, and much coveted, Isabel Marant wedge sneakers.

The Orchid Boutique Opens Flagship Store on South Beach

Miami sun goddesses have a new place to shop for designer swimwear, and it's not too far from the water's edge.

The Orchid Boutique opened it's inaugural store in the heart of South Beach earlier this month and celebrated with a grand opening bash last Thursday night. I just happened to make it on the VIB (very-important-blogger) list.

As I pulled up to the store off of 8th and Collins it was obvious that owner Mayra Jimenez knew how to throw a party! Complimentary valet parking, a red carpet, friendly door hosts, great music, and flowing drinks kept the capacity crowd in great spirits.

The store itself is gorgeous; crisp white walls and high ceilings immediately draw your eye to the swimsuits, which range from cute to downright sexy. Accented with amazing chandeliers and an intricate orchid shaped window, the boutique is as chic as the merchandise on its shelves. The luxury swimwear outpost carries brands like Beach Bunny, Maaji, L*Space, Agua Bendita, and their private collection Orchid Label.

What I Wore
I can't get enough of electric hues lately. South Beach is no place to play it safe so I was ready to rock some eye catching brights. In this case I worked my outfit around these amazing neon Jessica Simpson sandals. Although I rarely wear head-to-toe black, the shoes demanded the spotlight so I paired them with a black crop top (American Apparel) and pleated skirt from ZARA (similar.) Finishing touch was a fun neon Ann Taylor necklace that picked up the color from the shoes.

One on One with Victoria's Secret Angel Erin Heatherton

She's rumored to be Leonardo DiCaprio's latest blonde bombshell, but one thing is sure—Erin Heatherton is an All-American sweetheart.

I sat down with the 23 year old stunner during the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy tour stop at the Mondrian South Beach and engaged in some girl talk. While she didn't mention Leo, she did profess her love for another man: Michael Kors. Erin is featured in the ad campaign for VS's latest fragrance, Very Sexy Touch. I got a chance to smell the new perfume and loved it! The scent is ultra feminine, with notes of apricot, italian iris, and amber wood. The next best thing to looking like an Angel is smelling like one, right?

Last week I came face to face with the sexiest women on the planet, Victoria's Secret Angels Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Erin Heatherton.

It was no coincidence that these three were all heating up South Beach on the same day. The beauties were in town for the first stop on the Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Tour, promoting the new VS spring collection.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the media event at the Mondrian South Beach and actually got to sit and chat with the supermodels. (Interviews to come!)

There's never anything good enough to wear when you're going to interview three models who look amazing in next to nothing. You definitely don't want to pull out all the stops and attempt to look like a wannabe. So I went with a chic ladylike look inspired by my favorite spring trend, neon + nude.

My styling was so on point that I fit right in with the Very Sexy spring collection color palette. Take note- you need something fluorescent in your closet asap!

Ready, Set, Shop! The #AVMFashionista Challenge

I've never been one to back down from a challenge (especially not one that included shopping!) but this contest was one-of-a-kind... A few weeks ago I was invited to participate in the Aventura Mall AVMFashionista Challenge. 

Joined by fellow bloggers (and friends!) Daniela Ramirez of Nany's Kloset and Stephanie Camargo of Midtown Chica, we were given 2 hours and a $300 Aventura Mall giftcard to shop for a head-to-toe look representing a specific trend.

I ended up with a trend called "Baghaus Brigade" which called for color blocking, bold geometric prints, and stripes. I was given a list of only five stores I could shop at, and my final outfit had to include items from at least two. My stores were Ann Taylor, bebe, Bloomingdales, Gap, and M Missoni.

So many rules, So little time!

Though I could have knocked out the challenge in one trip to M Missoni, my limited budget would have left me with more of a commando look-- i.e. naked. (A tube top was 300!) My strategy was to briefly survey each store, and then go back for the pieces to build my outfit. Talk about overwhelming! I can only compare the stress I was under to the experience of shopping with an impatient dad or boyfriend.

I bought my first item at the Gap, the only store I was sure I wouldn't buy anything at! My neon yellow and black striped sweater was the key piece I needed to build the rest of my outfit around. At only $19 it was a steal, but I had to get creative since it was a size XL.

To balance out the over-sized sweater I picked up sleek pleather leggings at bebe, along with a pair of sky-high platform booties. (Confession: I splurged on the shoes. I love them!)

With minutes to spare I raced back to Ann Taylor for the finishing touch to any outfit- accessories. My best find of the entire challenge was the beautiful necklace I fished out of  their sale jewelry pile for only $7! That's what I call cheap & chic.

My outfit complete and $11 to spare I raced back to the finish line to meet the rest of the AVMFashionista team! Stephanie looked fabulous in her flamingo print skirt representing her "Birds Take Flight" trend, and Dani was prim & proper in her 1950s themed ensemble.

What I Wore | FNO Miami 2011

On Thursday, September 8th the biggest shopping party in the world, Fashion's Night Out, took over the Village of Merrick Park in Miami. Fashionistas joined Miami style stars like Marysol Patton, Jillian Sanz and William Levy for a night unlike any other I've experienced at the Coral Gables retail mecca.

I happened upon a pair of fabulous python print silk trousers by BCBGMAXAZRIA (on sale!) the week prior and knew they were just the thing for FNO. Python is right on trend for Fall, and the perfect way to transition more summery pieces- like a coral top.

While checking out the scene at Nordstrom (in my Gold Saturn turband), I ran into fellow blogger Rosa Cordero! Rosy interviewed me for a FNO feature on her site Curvy Chica and we chatted about Fall trends and Miami-inspired style.
