Miami Swim Week 2011 | Haute Natured

Just when you thought Miami Swim Week was about as shallow as a Key Biscayne sandbar, here comes Haute Natured.

The first ever sustainable swimwear show in Miami Beach is bringing together eco-friendly designers Meadow, Eco Swim, Linda Loudermilk, and MAE to showcase swimsuits made of upcycled, repurposed, and even solar-powered materials! Models will appear to walk on water as they strut down The Setai's 50-foot glass catwalk in suits created from recycled bottles and military parachutes. Hosted by Mogul Events and ecosystM, the fashion fête doubles as a fundraiser benefitting the Seakeepers Society.

The carbon-neutral runway show is a first of its kind in more ways than one, as it'll also be the first event during Miami Fashion Week to be filmed in full High Definition 3D. (Poor models!)

Guests are invited to join Miami's eco-conscious A-list and executives from top environmental lifestyle brands for a green carpet at 9 P.M. followed by hors d'oeuvres and complimentary cocktails leading up to the four runway shows. VIP tickets are available for $50 and are 100% tax deductible.

Throw on your fishnets and don't be afraid to channel your inner Dita Von Teese this Friday at La Fee Verte's latest installment of the "Stiletto Mafia."

The first of it's kind in South Florida, La Fee Verte is a burlesque & absinthe club located in Miami Beach.  

This month’s “Stiletto Mafia” celebrates several of Miami’s favorite fashionistas such as designer Cristina Rice of Bri Bri Boutique and Cuban Rice Jewelry; socialite and owner of Brickell’s Boca Tanning Club Zurami Pascual; H.O.W.L. (Handle Only With Love) jewelry designer Tini Courtney; style blogger Cynthia Dalagelis; Living Dolls Boudoir designer Jiussana Briseno and stylist and fashion designer Juan Carlos Cajigas-Berrios. All hosts will showcase their brands during an exclusive trunk show located in the second level of the lounge along with select pieces from Casopia Fashions, Flying Colors and KRELesque.

Pencil This In | Fashion & Film at Regal South Beach Cinema

Sex and the City 2 has finally hit the silver screen! To celebrate the opening of the fashionista flick Regal South Beach Cinema is treating moviegoers to a SATC2 inspired fashion show this Friday, May 28th. 

Joining forces to put on the show are four local Miami boutiques, Coco Babe, The Closet Boutique, Mizmi, and Wafa Saifi, each dressing their favorite character from the film. Paul Mitchell will be on hand to recreate the hair and makeup looks of our favorite city girls.

Arrive early and get a behind the scenes look at what it really takes to put on a fashion show. Ticket holders will have the opportunity to observe the transformation of six models  leading up to their debut on the catwalk.
